One arrested with suspected WY tablets worth Rs 90 lakh

Tengnoupal, October 10 2019: Based on a specific input, a combined team of Tengnoupal Police headed by DSP SL Kamkhohao and troops of 12 Assam Rifles carried out search operation and arrested an individual identified as Tongminlen Mate, s/o Holkhosei Mate of T Gamnom village, Moreh along with 150 packets (approx 30,000 nos) of suspected contraband WY tablets yesterday.

The about Rs 90 lakh suspected contraband items were recovered after his vehicle Canda Motorcycle was stopped at MVCP Tengnoupal at around 4.50 pm yesterday.

He was travelling towards Pallel, said police.

The arrested person along with the suspected contraband items have been handed over to Tengnoupal Police Station for further legal actions.
