Ukhrul ambush denounced

While condemning the ambush on security forces in Ukhrul by suspected NSCN (IM) militants, the MODIfied Northeast India today said that it has been working hard to bring normalcy in Ukhrul district by communicating with Union Home Ministry and concerned departments to lift promulgation of CrPC 144 from the town.
During the ambush on September 9, KS Thotyo (33) S/o K Solomon of Riha Village from Ukhrul district was killed while Kh.
Amuthoi (33) s/o Achouba of Kakching Khunou from Thoubal District and Kapminlian Mangsuan (29) s/o Haokholam of Tuibuang from Churachandpur District were seriously injured.
Seeing the development in the last two days where Centre and State government ready to call back deployed security forces and relaxation of CrPC 144 for 12 hours, MODIfied Northeast India greets the people of the town which was in "Mayhem" for a new dawn.
'Yesterday's ambush was unfortunate and the Initiative is worried about the fate of decade long Indo-Naga Peace talk which kept away development and peace in the region', Modified India said in a release today.
"With BJP government led by Narendra Modi, our effort is to bring peace, solve decades-long agitations and develop the region.
Such activities will divert the cause and people will be deprived from the development programmes of the new Government, added Naorem Mohen, Founder of the Initiative.
