CRPF conducts Civic Action Programme

The 152 Battalion CRPF, under the aegis of the Manipur and Nagaland Sector, CRPF, conducted a Civic Action Programme at Kanto Sabal, Imphal West district on Friday.
The programme was attended by Love Kumar, PMG, Commandant, 152 Bn CRPF as the chief guest, said a release issued by CRPF.
Suresh Kumar, 2IC; Sunil, OC of C/152; Hemant Kumar OC E/152; other personnel of the Unit and people of Kanto Sabal and nearby villages were also present at the event.
As part of the programme, 152 Bn CRPF distributed sports items such as footballs, jerseys and shorts, shin pads, kit bags, socks and shoes to students and youth of the area.
The Battalion also organised a Free Medical Camp wherein free health examination and consultation were provided to the people of the area.
Free medicines were also provided to those in need.
At the event, Love Kumar highlighted the inherent spirit of the Civic Action Programme as a welfare measure for local people and assured that they would continue to carry out similar programmes in the future.
The welfare measures undertaken by 152 Bn, CRPF, Imphal West were appreciated by the village chief and residents of Kanto Sabal.
Moreover, as part of its Civic Action Programme, 34 Bn CRPF under die aegis of IG, Manipur & Nagaland Sector, CRPF distributed essential items like water storage tanks, solar lights, WC fittings and sports items to the internally displaced people staying in the relief camps opened at Shamurou and Iram Sipahi.
The function held at the PS Wangoi complex was presided over by Premjit Meitei, DIG Range Imphal.
Shiv Shankar Upadhyay, Unit Commandant; Durgesh Kumar, 2IC, Staff Officer to the DIG Range Imphal; R K Srivastava, 2IC; Ravindra Tomar, 2IC; other Officers and Coy Commanders of 34th Bn CRPF; HN Meena, DC Range Imphal; Bimal Chandra Singh, SDPO, Imphal West; OC PS Wangoi, Insp Budha Chandra Khuman; Naorem Dorendro and Khomdram Sanajaoba, in-charges of both the relief camps were also present at the event.
