The present education system of the state only makes an individual run after government jobs forgetting his/her potentials to be self reliant and employed, stated M Shivadutta Luwang, Editor, Hueiyen Lanpao, Meetei Mayek edition.
Speaking on the occasion of the 2nd Phase Free Distribution of Piglets to Self Help Groups under the Below Poverty Line (BPL), Bishnupur district held at the residence of M Dinaraj Singh, Founder Secretary, Helping Hand Thrust Association, Ngangkhalawai Maning Leikai today, Shivadutta Luwang said that the present education system should be changed by including such a syllabus which it creates the desire to work in the minds of the student community.
He further said that the number of SHG in the state has been growing like mushrooms.
It is because of various vested interests coming up in the state, who are investing huge funds to certain SHG for their political gains, which has given a bad name to SHGs.
He said that investing and obtaining funds is an easy job.
What is more important is the ability to manage the invested and obtained funds in the most appropriate way.
There are many SHGs who are facing a lot of problems after taking in a huge amount of loan.
There are also certain people who indulge in various illegal and unfair means to get rich overnight, thereby creating problems for him and also the society.
