Rescued Tamenglong kids yet to reach home

Tamenglong, April 08 2013:
The three children trafficked from Tamenglong district who were rescued from Jaipur, Rajasthan are yet to reach home till today.
According to a reliable source, the three rescued children are presently being kept in a children home at Tekyalpat in Imphal West district.
Of the three children, one is from Ileng village and the remaining two from Donung village of Tamei Sub- Division.
The three children were among the 51 rescued from two illegal children homes at Jaipur on March 12 .
Meanwhile, Kinderson Pamei, Chairperson of Child Welfare Committee, Tamenglong, has disclosed that some Pastor and religious leaders are also involved in trafficking children to Rajasthan and appealed to them not to take advantage of the trust repose upon them by the poor parents.
He also warned that stern action could be taken as per the law of the land if any Pastor or religious leader were found involved in trafficking children in future.
Pamei also urged the parents and students to consult the office of Deputy Commissioner, Tamenglong, Superintendent of Police, Child Welfare Committee or Indigenous Women and Children Foundation (IWCF) if they desire to go outside the state for study or work so as to avoid problem in future.
