Imphal, January 08 2021: Former Member of District Council, Senapati Th Liba Pao passed away on January 6.Th Liba Pao and his spouse were gearing up to celebrate the golden jubilee celebration of their wedding when he breathed his last.

He was born in 1940 and passed his matriculation in the year 1964 and was reportedly the first graduate from Phuba village.

Th Liba Pao served as headmaster of Phuba Govt Jr High School in 1967; Asst teacher at Paomata Govt High School from 1968-72 and served as cooperative inspector from 1973-79 and was later elected as Member of District Council, Senapati in 1982.Th Liba Pao also held various post in Church activities at Poumai Baptist Church, Imphal, including the first pastor-in-charge fellowship secretary, Church secretary and assistant pastor.

A brief condolence service was held at Phyapou village, Kangpokpi in the presence of near and dear ones from different walks of life including District Council staff.

He was 81 when he passed away and is survived by his wife, 7 daughters and 2 sons.
