Thoubal, January 08 2019: All India Radio approved artist and Dr BR Ambedkar Fellowship (2018) Awardee Okram Basanta of Thoubal Heibongthabam was feted today at Jupiter Club ground yesterday.

The felicitation programme organised by Social Development Club and Ningombam Health and Fitness Centre, Thoubal Ningombam was attended by Thoubal Miunicipal Council Ward No 10 Councillor H Jamuna Devi, retired Joint Director Department of Education(S) AK Kesho and State Awardee retired Headmaster O Brajabidhu as presidium members.

Okram Basanta started his career as an actor in 1980.He has acted in several tele play, dramas and Manipuri digital films.

He is also an script writer.

He is son of Okram Gopal and late Okram Ongbi Ibeton Devi.
