Casualty cum emergency block, Senapati district hospital inaugurated

Senapati, December 07 2017: The Deputy Commissioner, Senapati, Athem Muivah inaugurated the casualty cum emergency block (under specification) at Senapati District Hospital .

It may be noted that the building began its construction work and left unfinished for a long time.

With the growing need of facilities for medical staff at Senapati district hospital, the building continued its work in collaboration with DRDA, under the initiative of the DC, Athem Muivah .

Speaking on the occasion, Athem Muivah stated that, he came to learn about the need of quarters and other facilities for medical staff during a discussion with the medical community and the work was continued instantly in the larger interest of the medical community .

CMO, Senapati Dr Loli Mao extended gratitude to DC for accelerating the construction which remained dormant for a decade and for completing the work in a short period of time.

He said that the block would facilitate the needs of the staff and enable the hospital to function smoothly .

State Engineer Consultant, NHM, Manipur, Narendra Sharma assured to provide equipment and furniture for the building .

Joint Director of Health, Manipur, Dr Awor Luikam sought public support in running the hospital and assured to provide funds for the development of the hospital and to provide sufficient medical staff and PHCs in the district .

District officials especially from Health Department, DIO, District hospitals staff, DRDA staff attended the programme.
