Home coming tour of Minister Francis woos Willong Circle

In the home coming tour of Francis Ngajokpa, Minister Rural Development Panchayati Raj, Economics and Statistic, to his native Village Willong Khullen, the local elected member left no stone unturned to impress the people and called for unity.
The visit came after the minister's tour at Yangkhullen area where he also visited many places and gave away benefits to many.
The whole of Willong Circle consisting of 12 Villages came together at Willong Khullen to celebrate the Minister's visit.
Hundreds of people gathered where the Minister Francis Ngajokpa and his wife Eastland was accorded a royal reception through war cry.
A victory procession and dance were also displayed signifying victory in modern war of politics where the men folk also encircle the whole field without two ends meeting the other end.
An honor awarded to only few people.

Moderated by Rangpung John, during the reception programme the Willong Circle Broad presented a Male black spotless Mithun (Buisang in local dialect) commonly known as wild buffalo.
The wild buffalo was wrapped with a typical and specific shawl call 'Tahampai', as a sign of prized animals to only merited man.
During the programme the Minister and his wife distributed the people with red blankets, tin sheets, shawls, rice and financial assistance to GBs, Village elders, women, aged men and women.
In a solidarity message, Willong circle president Joseph lauded the Minister for his unceasing concern to the circle specifically referring to establishments of SDO office, Electricity sub-station, Police station and Bank.
Representative from Oklong area, Hingpa appealed for a united Willong Circle to demonstrate unity and leadership of the local leader during decision making.
Former Maram Union President RK Peter also spoke on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Francis Ngajokpa also greeted people and thanked them for their constant supports and trust on his leadership.
Down playing egos, the Minister of Rural Development also urged the people to be united and practice humility in everything and every way.
The minister, who has command over oratory, enchanted the whole audience with timely jokes of his Childhood to motivate the students of the Willong Circle to achieve more.
An elected member known for his mastery in public speaking and wooing especially the educated youths, he was in full praise for local achievers in UPSC, MPSC and other public exams.
Wooing his people which also has the strongest and dedicated vote bank, the two time Minister in his speech said, "If today the farmers are not carrying paddy, or pounding them manually, it is you yourself who decided to do so.
It is not me, but you chose to be , if any development has come to the area it is you (people) who decided to do so by being united" the minister was quoted while greeting his voters.
The minister also officially declared the Maram-Peren road as National Highway through an extra-ordinary Gazette.
While it may take some more years to initiate the work, Minister Francis urge the local not to construct houses beside the road, and not to steal road construction materials but be a pressure group for adherence to quality with the coming of NH, business is an area where we can engage into.
Fruit and vegetables can be one area" Francis said after assuring all necessary assistance from the government.
