Speaking to media persons on the sidelines of the protest, president of Chingkhei

The issue of the Nagas should involve only Nagaland.
Do not bring Manipur into this issue.
The people will not remain silent if Manipur is affected in an attempt by the Centre to please NSCN (IM), Janki warned.
Demanding the details of the Framework Agreement to be made public immediately, Janki urged all the MLAs and MPs of the State to pressure the Central leaders against taking any decision which is against the sentiments of the people.
They should also make the people aware of the resolutions or agreements, if any, contained in the solution to the Naga issue, the association president demanded.
Modicare Manipur staff/ employees also staged a similar protest at Lilashing Khongnangkhong today, wearing black dresses.
Speaking on the sidelines of the protest, Modicare Manipur supplier Tongbram Wanglen said that the Naga political issue has always been causing inconvenience to the people of Manipur due to the threat posed by the peace talks to the integrity of Manipur.
He then urged the Central Government to refrain from attempting to create divide between the various communities which have been residing together in the State since time immemorial.
On the other hand, a mass alert rally was organised from Khumbong Keithel to Lansonbi bazar today which was participated by locals and womenfolk of Khumbong, Khaidem, Ngairangbam, Moidangpok etc as well as students and auto-rickshaw drivers.
Following the rally, a mass sit in was also staged at Khumbong where womenfolk held placards cautioning against any impact to the integrity of the State due to the Naga issue, demanding the details of the peace talks to be disclosed to the public etc.
Another rally was organised by Khurai Ahongei Thangjam Leikai Meira Paibi from Eastern Educational Club today.
The rally passed JNIMS and reached Lamlong Keithel before concluding at EEC.
An alert rally was also organised by Coordinating Body Khurai and Moirangkampu Nupi Thoudang Lup from Moirangkampu Khewa Bazar to Khurai Lamlong Keithel yesterday night.
United Club Organisation, Uyumpok GP, organised a sit in protest at Tiger Hill community hall as well.
Following the sit in, an alert rally was also taken out till Keibi High School.
Speaking to media persons on the sidelines of the protest, Khundrakpam Kendra MLA Th Lokeshore said that it is high time for all to set aside any political difference and instead work for the protection of the State.
Appealing all the political parties to stand united with the people to save the integrity of the State, Lokeshore asked why all of the 60 MLAs of the State are allegedly reluctant to unite for the welfare of the people.
At such a critical juncture, power and posts are not important anymore, he reasoned, adding that instead, the MLAs should approach the PM and the Central leaders and caution them against doing anything which will hurt the sentiments of the Manipuri people.
It is indeed disappointing that some of the BJP Ministers and MLAs failed to even take part in the recent legislators' meeting, he lamented.
Later in the evening meira rallies were taken out at Lamlong, Singjamei Liwa road, Bamon Leikai Mange Makhong, Sagolband Tera road, Tinsid road and from Wangkhei to Bamon Leikai, Sawombung to Khurai and Seijang to the residence of MLA Kshetri Biren at Sabungkhok.
