Imphal, August 07 2015 :
All Manipur United Clubs Coordination (AMUCO) has decided that it would launch various forms of agitations if there is no transparency of the Peace Accord signed between the Government of India and the NSCN (IM) on August 3 .
This was stated by AMUCO President Y Mani during a press conference on Friday.
He said that the accord was signed by keeping the Northeastern State Governments and the people in the dark.
This is an authoritarian dictatorship in a democracy and AMUCO rejects it.
If there is any clause in the accord which is against the interest of the people of Manipur, AMUCO shall take up the cudgels.
It has been striving for the protection of the integrity and shall continue to do so relentlessly.
Delhi ought to understand the historical facts and importance that Manipur has its own constitution, sovereignty and international boundary status for more than 2000 years.
Overlooking all these factors Delhi cannot simply resort to fragmentation of Manipur.
It amounts to taking the people of Manipur for a ride, he added.
Further, he demanded the full details of the August 3 peace accord be made public.
If it is not done AMUCO is ready to launch agitations with the cooperation of the people.
