Imphal, April 07 2019: NPF Manipur State Unit has strongly condemned the destruction of properties at the residence of NPF president, Churachandpur division, Genlunthang, located at Red Cross Lane, near Don Bosco Hr Sec School Churachandpur yesterday.

A press release issued by the information secretary of NPF today alleged that at around 9 pm yesterday, around 10 youths suspected to be supporters of BJP candidate, entered Genlunthang's house and physically assaulted his daughter and sister, apart from using abusive words against them.

The intruders also damaged a computer set, a printer and furniture, apart from damaging party election posters and flags and allegedly warned Genlunthang of dire consequences if he keeps supporting NPF.

Stating that NPF Manipur State unit has submitted a complaint to the CEO Manipur regarding the incident, the party clarified that the statement given by NEIDP candidate Ashang Kasar is false and baseless.

Claiming that Ashang Kasar's ideas and thoughts which is spreading through social media is a violation of the moral code of conduct, NPF strongly concerned the act and appealed to the people not to be misled by the lies.

NPF stands for peace, harmony and tranquillity in Manipur, it added.
