Imphal, February 07 2019: Condemning the speech delivered by Rh Raising, convenor of the Steering Committee, NSCN (IM) during the 40th NSCN Day on January 31, Kuki National Organisation (KNO) has claimed that the speech delivered by Rh Raising clearly shows that he is ignorant and perpetuates hot air politics to mislead the Naga public.

A press release issued by the under secretary, information and publicity, KNO, yesterday mentioned that Raishing seems to be confined to the colonial period and as such opined that he must brush up on proper history.

It continued that Raising also needs to come to terms with the truth and added that Kukis have existed way before colonialism began.

KNO then conveyed that Raising must also be informed that the Tangkhul people did not subscribe to the Naga identity nor did they accept the call of Az Phizo, the leader of Naga National Council.

As such, it is necessary to be intellectually honest than to engage in empty rhetoric that may mislead and confound the innocent citizens, KNO added.
