Assam Rifles conducts free medical camp and counselling

In continuation of de-addiction drive undertaken by Moreh Battalion of 26 Sector Assam Rifles, under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South), the medical officer along with team carried out health check up and provided medicine and counselling to the inmates of De-addiction Centres at Adullum Centre, Moreh.
A total of 110 patients from three De-addiction Centres including Rehab Hope Centre Ward No 2, Adullum Centre Ward No 9 and Asha Bhavan Ward No 7 were treated, said PRO, IGAR.
The inmates were also educated on the benefits of drug free life and critical withdrawal symptoms associated with drug addiction.
Regular efforts are being made by Assam Rifles to provide medical attention to alleviate the agony of the inmates and at the same time, crack down on move of drugs with a larger aim of ensuring drug free Moreh.
The inmates expressed their heartfelt gratitude and thanked Assam Rifles for the initiative.
