Employment schemes should be made successful: CS

Manipur Chief Secretary O Nabakishore has stated that there is a need to make schemes which can provide jobs to many people successful.
The Chief Secretary made the statement during the closing function of Entrepreneurship Development Programme on Monday at Institute of Cooperative Management (ICM) Lamphel Hall.
Speaking at the function, which was organised by ICM under the sponsorship of Khadi and Village Industries Commission, Mumbai, as chief guest, O Nabakishore said that PMEGP is such an important scheme for many professions apart from generating employment.
PMEGP beneficiaries should attend Entrepreneurship Development Programmes to gain knowledge from experts and they should translate the knowledge into action.
People need to have patience while making the scheme successful.
A person might not be successful in the beginning but failure is the beginner's experience and the way which leads to success, added O Nabakishore.
Chairman of Management Committee ICM, L Tompishak attended the function as President while Cooperative Society Registrar Dr Harmit Singh Pahuja and ICM Director K Joychandra were the guests of honour.
The chief guest also distributed certificates to PMEGP beneficiaries who attended the EDP programme.
