Imphal, September 05 2011: As part of its continuing drive against drug abuse, CADA organized a Mass Awareness Campaign on the theme 'People movement against the abuse and sale of drugs on September 4 at 2pm at the Community Hall of Khongampat Mantri Leikai, said a press release of CADA.

The awareness programme was organized with Women Welfare Association, Mantri Leikai playing a leading role in association with Yaipha Thousil Nupi Lup, Khongampat Khunou, Women Development Association, Khongampat Mayai Leikai, Laikol Leirambi Meira Paibi Lup -Khongampat Awang Leikai and Meira Paibi Nupi Lup, Khamaral.

Various speakers in the awareness programme expressed the need for people to stand against drugs for the welfare of the society and if such campaigns are not carried out in every locality, the society might one day get drowned in the sea of intoxicants.

After due deliberation , the gathering decided to form a united front of the various organization involved in today's programme and to launch a campaign against against drug abuse and sale of intoxicants.

Meanwhile, on September 4, a torch rally was taken out at Mongkhang Lambi, Chanamkhong organized by Khongand Leiark Apunba Nupi Lup against the use and sale of various intoxicants.
