State bids adieu to outgoing Governor Anusuiya

The state bid farewell to its outgoing Governor Anusuiya Uikey in a ceremonial send-off held at the Raj Bhavan premises, here, on Monday.
The event was attended by special chief secretary MH Khan, ADGP (Intelligence) Ashutosh Sinha, and other civil and police officers.
A general salute was accorded to the outgoing Governor by a joint contingent of Manipur Rifles and IRB personnel.
According to a statement issued by PRO, Raj Bhavan, a farewell function was held at the Durbar Hall of Raj Bhavan earlier in the morning, wherein officers, staff, and security personnel extended their best wishes to Anusuiya Uikey, wishing her a long and healthy life ahead.
During the ceremony, secretary to the Governor, Bobby Waikhom praised efforts of the outgoing Governor in restoring peace and normalcy in the state following the ethnic conflict.
He also expressed gratitude for her contributions to the development of Raj Bhavan and the welfare of its employees.
In her farewell speech, Anusuiya Uikey commended the cooperation and efforts of the chief minister, ministers, MLAs, chief secretary, DGP, and other state machineries, as well as Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), in containing untoward incidents and fostering peace and harmony among the various ethnic communities in the state.
She also expressed her deep appreciation to the officers and personnel of central security forces for their tireless efforts in saving and relocating people from violence-affected areas to safer places.
Reflecting on her visits to various relief camps across the districts, Anusuiya Uikey, with tearful eyes, expressed deep empathy and sorrow for the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and prayed for their safe return to their homes.
She assured to continue working towards finding a solution to the ongoing crisis even after leaving the state.
Anusuiya concluded by commending dedication of the officers involved in restoring peace and normalcy in the state and thanking the officers and staff of Raj Bhavan for their cooperation and support during her tenure.
She encouraged them to continue performing their duties diligently.
