CM meets injured TSE editor, school kids at Shija

Imphal, July 05 2014 :
Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh today visited Shija Hospital at Langol to meet Hijam Rajesh, the editor of The Sangai Express (English edition), who is undergoing treatment in the ICU there after a car accident on the night of July 3 .
Rajesh was returning home from work when the mishap occurred near the main gate of Raj Bhavan.
According to the attending doctors, Rajesh, who was brought to the hospital in an unconscious state, is responding to the treatment positively and his condition has become stable.

During the visit, Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh was accompanied by his wife and MLA O Landhoni Devi and MLA Fazlur Rahim.
They also met some of the injured school children who are undergoing treatment there after their school van was hit by a speedy Tata truck near Kanimkhong along Thoubal Leishangthem MI Road on July 3 .
Talking to mediapersons after coming out from the hospital, the Chief Minister said that his government has proposed to the Central government for sanctioning the required fund for construction of a ring-road around Imphal city to ease traffic congestion.
He expressed hope that the proposal may materialise by December.
