2 days legal awareness programme begins at LESSW, Spt

A two days legal awareness programme on child rights and protection organised by Lungnila Elizabeth School of Social Work, Senapati and District Legal Services Authority, Senapati, began today at Lungnila Elizabeth School of Social Work, Senapati.
The programme was
graced by Somorjit Salam, Deputy Commissioner Senapati; M Pradip Singh, Superintendent of Police, Senapati and Francis Ngajokpa, former minister as dignitaries.
Speaking as the chief guest, Somorjit Salam lauded the organisers for spreading awareness about
child rights and protection to create a better world and better environment for the children.
Stating that every children has the right to live and learn, the DC conveyed that similar programme should be conducted regularly to make Manipur a child friendly state.
The programme was organised in remembrance of Late Lungnila Elizabeth.
During the programme, students of LESSW, which is a social work institution, performed number of items like songs, choreography and skits based on humanities.
Leaders of different villages,
CSOs, Churches; Principal, Lecturers of different institutes and students from different schools also attended the programme.
