Imphal, November 04 2015: Unidentified armed cadres on Wednesday morning kidnapped five employees of Simplex Company who are currently constructing Maku Bridge along the National Highway 37 of Imphal-Jiribam road under Haochong Police Station of Tamenglong District.

Sources said that out of the five kidnapped employees, two are said to be assistant store keepers while one was an excavator driver.

The five employees were kidnapped by the unidentified armed cadres at gun point from their workplace.

No group or organisation has claimed responsibility for the act yet but Police sources said that the site comes under the operational areas of Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) and United Tribal Liberation Army (UTLA) .
