AR extends aids to mishap victims

Imphal, January 04 2014 : Security Forces under the aegis of Red Shield Division provided medical aid to road accident victims.

According to a statement issued by PRO IGAR (S), a Shaktiman carrying seven passengers moving from Tupul to Nonei on NH 37 lost control due to technical fault and fell down in the gorge between CC-IV and Tupul near MS 56 today.

Out of seven, two passengers died on the spot.

Three critically injured persons were brought to Nonei Battalion Headquarter hospital and provided necessary first aid under supervision of ARMO Deputy Commandant M S Matthew and RMO Major Naveen G Sheelavant before they were further evacuated to RIMS under arrangement of the Nonei Battalion.

Villagers appreciated the timely help of the Security Forces in the incident, the PRO said.
