No Teachers' Day in Chakpikarong schools this time

Chakpikarong, September 03 2014: Students in Chakpikarong sub-division of Chandel district will not celebrate Teachers' day this year on account of their protest against transfer of their teachers.

According to a reliable source, failure of getting positive response from the concerned department towards their demand of stay order of their teachers from being transferred is the main reason to forego celebration of Teachers' Day this year.

Expressing concern over the students missing the live telecast speech of PM Narendra Modi on Teachers' Day, the source appealed to the department concerned for taking up necessary action at the earliest in the interest of the students.
