Imphal, March 03 2012: To facilitate the public for purchasing their requirements for ensuing Yaosang festival, 2012, all the shops and other establishments lying within Imphal Municipality areas would remain open on Sunday, March 4.Issuing a notification in this regard, Commissioner (Labour and Employment), Government of Manipur Y Jugindro Singh said that operation of Sub-Section (I) of Section 10 of the Manipur Shops and Establishments, Act, 1972 in respect of all shops and establishments lying within Imphal Municipality areas would remain suspend on March 4 (Sunday) to facility the public for purchasing their requirements for the ensuing Yaosang festival subject to the condition that the employees of the shops and establishments shall be allowed to enjoy an alternative day appointed by the person engaged in the shop under intimation to the owner of the shop as holiday in the next week of the aforesaid date under the provisions of the said Act.
