AR escorts four individuals from KLP Moreh to Pallel

Imphal, November 02 2024:
Four individuals who had been staying for around 18 months at Key Location Point (KLP) of 5 Assam Rifles at Moreh have been escorted to Imphal by an AR team on Saturday.
The individuals are Puyam Tababi (70) of Moreh Ward No 6 Tali road, RK Binasana (48) of Moreh Ward No 8, Lal Bahadur Rana (64) and Sita Rana (55) both from near Punjab National Bank.
Apart from them, four villagers of Kwatha are still at KLP.
All the four individuals took shelter at KLP of 5 AR after fleeing from their homes when Kuki militants started torching Meetei houses in Moreh on May 3, 2023.With the hope that the fleeing Meeteis from Moreh will return back, they stayed at KLP waiting for others to return.
As they fear of facing severe medical conditions due to long stay at KLP, they approached Tengnoupal district administration for escorting to Imphal and accordingly a team of 5 AR escorted them till Pallel and the district administration brought all of them at Akampat relief camp.
Tababi and RK Binasana have stayed at Akampat relief camp but Lal Bahadur Rana and Sita Rana have left the relief camp to stay at the houses of their relatives.
Puyam Tababi told media persons that she hoped of returning to her home in Moreh and accordingly stayed back at KLP.
She said that 5 AR and Tengnoupal district administration took care of them while staying at KLP.
Even though AR doctors conducted medical checks from time to time, we fear of facing severe medical conditions and accordingly Tengnoupal district administration was approached for sending them to Imphal, she said and thanked both 5 AR and Tengnoupal district administration for their help.
