Imphal, October 02 2018: Komrem Union North East India has vehemently condemned the brutal murder of Sairengkhup Kom, s/o Tonpa Kom of Bungsanglen village, Samulamlan block, Churachandpur, on the night of September 30 at Thotchanran village, Chandel by some unknown persons.

A press release issued by the KRU today claimed that late Sairengkhup Kom is a daily wage earner who was staying at Chandel to earn his livelihood and to support his family.

The union demanded the police station concerned to nab the culprits at the earliest and to deliver justice to the bereaved family.

It also demanded the authority concerned to give ex-gratia to his family at the earliest for their immediate relief.

The union further appealed to all the communities if the State as well as the State Government to initiate a cleansing of the society from the brutal and senseless murders.

It also expressed gratitude to all the CSOs of Chandel district for extending cooperation and sympathies to the bereaved family.
