KAVAC appeals Government for speedy redressal

Imphal, August 02 2020: The Khoupum Area Villages Authority Council (KAVAC) in a statement has appealed to the authority concerned/State Government to look into the aggrieved issue of the Hill's Land Ownership and Compensation Demand Association (HLOCDA) long standing demand for land compensation of the Old Cachar road (Tungjei Maril) NH- 37 (A) Joujangtek to Rengpang work construction by Keystone Company Limited.

The statement said that the bandh called by HLOCDA due to non-release of compensation to the affected has made it difficult for the people living on this road.

In this regard, KAVAC has appealed the Government to negotiate with the HLOCDA and redress the grievances of the affected people at the earliest.
