Imphal, July 02 2015 :
Manipur Students' Federation (MSF) has announced to intensify its drive against restaurants on Thursday warning all owners to comply with generally accepted rules to run their business.
MSF in collaboration with All Manipur Art & Culture Students' Union (AMASU), Manipuri Nat Kanba Lup (MNKL) and Pangal Students' Organisation (PSO) will resume intense drive against all restaurants, federation president Md Serajuddin announced at a press meet at MSF head office, Keishamthong Top Leirak.
Serajuddin insisted that the numerous restaurants have now become breeding grounds for romance among young girls and boys who are indulging in indecent activities.
MSF has been impelling against restaurants to dissuade them from misguiding youths for their selfish means.
Serajuddin urged all restaurant owners to keep to the set of accepted rules while running their business.
He said dark rooms are not allowed inside any restaurant, separate chairs should be kept, hygienic snacks and food should be supplied, no restaurant located attached to house will allow to run, open and lighted rooms should be kept and minors should not be employed.
All restaurants which fail to satisfy these will be forced to close down, the MSF leader cautioned.
