ZU flays fake encounter

Imphal, July 02 2013: Refuting the statement issued by Red Shield Division in connection with the K Songlung incident; Zeliangrong Union- Assam, Manipur & Nagaland (ZU-AMN) has strongly condemned the incident in which 10th AR personnel allegedly killed 6 (six) cadres of NSCN-K in a stage-managed fake encounter.

"Manipur has become the champion state/region not only in India but also in the South West Asia infested with violation of human rights and fake encounter by Indian security forces in the name of counter insurgency," K Poushinglung, General Secretary of the Union said in a release.

ZU also urged the concerned authority to investigate into the matter and punish the errant officers and jawans of 10th AR involved in the gruesome incident.
