Awareness programme on 'Voluntary Blood Donation' held

Bishnupur, March 02 2021: A one day awareness programme on 'Voluntary Blood Donation' was held today at Mangolnganbi College Ningthoukhong today.

The programme is organised jointly by Youth Red Cross Society, NSS Mangolnganbi College Ningthoukhong in association with Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) Manipur Chapter and was participated by teaching and non teaching staff and students of the college along with the members of the governing body.

Dr Y Mohen and Dr K Arunkumar, chairman and vice chairman of IRCS Manipur State Branch respectively and RK Birjit Singh, principal of the college graced today's programme as the presidium members.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Y Mohen said that donating blood is one of the most noble service of mankind and stated that any individual who has attained 18 years can donate blood.

He maintained that there is no harm in donating blood and appealed to all to donate blood voluntarily to help those who are in need and serve the mankind.
