Governor Dr Najma Heptulla has conveyed best wishes to the people of Manipur on the auspicious occasion of Gandhi Jayanti (October 2) which is observed as National Cleanliness Day every year.
In her message, the Governor called upon the present generation to imbibe the virtues of non-violence, tolerance and humanism from the life of Mahatma Gandhi so as to usher in a new era of hope and prosperity for all.
Chief Minister N Biren too has extended best wishes to the people of the State on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.
"On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti and National Cleanliness Day, let us imbibe wisdom from Gandhiji's thoughts and actions to address the challenges that confront us", read the Chief Minister's Gandhi Jayanti message.
Lok Sabha MP Dr RK Ranjan too conveyed best wishes to the people of the State on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.
Works and IPR Minister Th Biswajit in his Gandhi Jayanti message said, "On this occasion, let us pledge to follow the path of truth and non-violence and dedicate ourselves towards promoting goodwill, tolerance and harmony".
CAF&PD Minister Karam Shyam too conveyed best wishes to the people of the State on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.
