IGAR (S) nabs UGs

Imphal, September 01 2014: Based on specific intelligence regarding the movement of a UG cadre, troops of 16 AR of 10 Sector AR under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) launched an operation in the general area at Gwaltabi and apprehended one KNLA cadre on 31 Aug 2014 .

According to a statement issued by PRO IGAR (S), the apprehendee was identified as Manglet (50), S/o Lengthong, resident of Khonom, PS � Moirang.

One 7.65 mm Pistol alongwith three live rounds and three Demand letter was recovered from his possession.

The apprehendee alongwith the recovered item have been handed over to the Lamlai Police station.

In another incident, troops of 16 AR of 10 Sector AR under the aegis of HQ IGAR (S) launched an operation in the general area at Yumnam Khunao and apprehended one UNLF (OGW) yesterday.

The apprehendee was identified as Arambam Naokham Meitei (35), S/o A Ningthemjao Meitei, resident of Yumnam Khunao, PS- Sagolmang, Dist Imphal East.

The apprehendee was handed over to the Sagolmang Police station.

Also, based on specific intelligence regarding the movement of a UG cadre, troops of the 16 Assam Rifles of 10 Sector AR under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) launched an operation in the general area at Mahadev Camp village and apprehended one KNLA cadre on 31 Aug 2014.The apprehendee was identified as Thangminlal Haokip, aged 23 yrs, S/o Jamlet Haokip, resident of Thawai Kuki, PS � Litan, Dist Ukhrul.

The apprehendee was handed over to the Litan PS, the PRO added.
