MLA accuses Cong councillors of derailing Kakching MC

Kakching MLA Mayanglambam Rameshwar has held Congress councillors, who have been elected for the last 15 years, accountable for ineffectiveness of Kakching Municipal Council (KMC) .
Speaking at his felicitation programme and introduction of National Peoples' Party councillor and member candidates of KMC at Pukhrambam Sagei Apokpa Shanglen, Kakching Panjao Pareng on Saturday, Rameshwar explained
that the government seized bank account of the council and vigilance started investigation due to corrupt practices by Congress councillors for the last 15 years.
Though the account has been seized,
the amount collected by the council is allowed to be credited in other accounts so that it could continue its activities and the monthly collection for June is also in the hands of the council,
he said, while enquiring why the council did not release the wage of sanitary workers.

False information is being spread that filing of case by the MLA led to seizure of the bank account of the council thereby causing hindrances in providing wages to sanitary workers, he denounced, while clarifying that he has nothing to do in this regard.
Such misinformation has been spread to mislead the people, he cautioned.
Intending councillor candidate in Kakching Municipal Council election Salam Joy, member candidate Kshetrimayum Tiken and Kshetrimayum Robindro were introduced to the people of Kakching ward no 11 by the MLA.
