Imphal, December 31 2018: Brig Vivek Sharma, Group Commander NCC Group Headquarters, Imphal will be handing over the charge to Brig R S Sethi on January 1, 2019 after a tenure of two years as Group Commander NCC, Imphal.

Both outgoing and incoming commanders interacted with the Chief Minister N Biren Singh on December 30 and updated him on NCC activities.

They subsequently interacted with Education Minister Th Radheshyam, Chief Secretary Dr J Suresh Babu and other State Govt officials.

NCC Group Imphal imparts training to about 9000 cadets of 120 schools and colleges in Manipur in developing qualities of character, leadership, adventure spirit, secular outlook and service to the Nation and the society.

Air Wing of Imphal NCC will bring two brand new Microlight aircrafts to Imphal soon, for commencing flying training of Manipuri boys and girls cadets.

This will open the avenues for carrier making in flying for the youth of Manipur and further boost the spirits of adventure in them.

The Chief Minister took personal interest in the renovation project of the NCC Hanger at Tulihal Airport.

The two hanger are ready for housing of these two aircrafts.
