Imphal, September 29 2024: Assam Rifles conducted a cleanliness drive as part of the Nationwide Swachhata Hi Seva campaign at Maibam village in Bishnupur district.

The drive aimed to promote cleanliness and environmental sustainability, resonating with the ethos of the Swachh Bharat Mission.

Villagers and Assam Rifles troops participated actively in the event, ensuring the cleaning of the surrounding areas, removing waste, and creating awareness about the importance of maintaining a hygienic environment, said PRO IGAR (South) in a statement.

The event marked the commitment of the local community in keeping their surroundings clean and contributing to a cleaner India and dedication of the Assam Rifles personnel towards the Nationwide movement of cleanliness, said AR .
