NPF welcomes new members

Ukhrul, September 28 2020:
The Naga People's Front of 43- Phungyar Area Unit today organised a reception cum enrolment programme of its new members at NPF office Hamleikhong, Ukhrul.
Ukhrul ADC Chairman Dr Yaronsho Ngalung welcomed the new NPF members during the reception function.
Dr Yaronsho explained the reason to expand the Naga political party in all contiguous areas of the Nagas in the North East region.
According to him, the nomenclature of Nagaland People's Party was changed to Naga People's Front in 2009 to accommodate all Naga people in one common political platform.
Dr Yaronsho also mentioned that NPF had resolved to support the Indo-Naga political issues to protect the rights and identity of Nagas.
He urged the newly enrolled members to coordinate with the NPF functionaries to strengthen the party.
Vice-Chairman of Ukhrul ADC M Isaac also attended the programme stated that Ukhrul ADC members had twice adopted a resolution to pressure the Government of India for early settlement of Indo- Naga political issue.
Later, Dr Yaronsho Ngalung enrolled the new NPF members.
They were felicitated with a flower bouquet each.
Altogether 44 persons including one BJP ex- ADC candidate C Hopingson from 18 Kamjong DCC were given a warm reception in the presence of Ukhrul ADC M Isaac, executive members K Ramshang, Thotngahan, NPF working president Sem A' Shimray, Vice president 43- Phungyar Unit Bejoy Chithung and the NPF party workers and supporters.
The programme was organised by 43- Phungyar Area Unit.
