Mass education through sensitisation and awareness programmes are must in order to curb crime against women and children, she said while urging the State Government to step up its efforts to curb crimes.
Speedy investigation and early award of justice should be insured to provide security to the victims and build up people's trust on the system, she said pointing out that delayed justice and turtle pace investigation may cause the victims to hide crimes committed against them.
There are numerous cases of crime against women and children pending judgement, she said.
