Two candidates under same roll number come to appear TET

The Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) conducted by the Board of Secondary Education Manipur for the second time in Manipur ended up peacefully without much chaos today.
However, in spite of heavy precautionary measures taken up to avoid unwanted incidents during the conduct of TET, two candidates were found coming to appear in TET under the same roll number.
The incident took place at the centre provided at Imphal Public School, Koirengei.
The roll number under which both the candidates came to appear was 27839.The candidates which were found entering the examination hall with their respective Admit Cards were Shila Rehman, d/o Mohammud Zamauddin of Lilong Haoreibi and Rehmani Begum, d/o Mohammud Hesamuddin of Lilong Haoreibi Makha Leikai.
As soon as the news reached, the Secretary of Board of Secondary Education Manipur arrived at the centre and verified the Admit Cards of both the candidates.
During the verification process, it was found out that the Admit Card of Rehmani Begum was fake.
The said Admit Card was reportedly handed over to her by one Md Farooq of Lilong Haoreibi Makha Leikai.
Md Farooq was immediately called to the centre and he along with Rehmani Begum was handed over to Singjamei Police Station by the Board officials.
On the other hand, 15 candidates who were found appearing as proxy in TET Paper-1 for Lower Primary Teachers and another 8 candidates in Paper-2 were expelled.
Since the collection of whole data of TET was not available till late in the evening, the exact number of candidates who had appeared in the examination could not be ascertained.
Meanwhile, All Tribal Disable Union, Manipur has expressed gratitude to the State Government for providing a separate examination centre for all the differently abled candidates in TET today.
Addressing media persons at its Laipham Khunnou office today, Momo Tantana, President of the Union, informed that the State Government arranged DM College as the examination centre for all those differently abled persons, who are crippled and Convent English School, New Checkon for those vision impaired candidates.
