Signature campaign against CAB flagged off

Imphal, January 27 2019:
A signature campaign was flagged off at North East India Development Party (NEIDP) office at Sagolband Tera Sapam Leirak, against the passing of the Citizenship Amendment Bill 2016 in the Lok Sabha and opposing any attempt to pass the said Bill in the Rajya Sabha.
The flagging off of the signature campaign was led by NEIDP president Narengbam Samarjit and was participated by NEIDP CDWC State Unit president Sapam Kunjakeshore (Keba) and hiany party workers.
Four Tata wingers packed with NEIDP workers took part in today's campaign.
Speaking to media persons Sapam Kunjakeshore demanded the immediate withdrawal of the CAB in the interest of the people.
Demanding immediate withdrawal of the Central Government's attempt to pass the said Bill in the Rajya Sabha as well, he appealed all the students in schools, colleges and other educational institutes as well as the common people to sign the signature campaign against the CAB.
He then explained that signature campaign will be carried out all across the valley as well in the hills.
NEIDP has made all necessary arrangements to submit a memorandum to the Prime Minister.
The dangerous Bill should be withdrawn immediately in the interest of the welfare of the North East people, he demanded.
