It is a good initiative of Manipur Jagoi Marup to organise the festival by inviting six different communities from the hill districts of the state.
Even if Manipur State Kala Akademi could not provide grant for organizing such festivals, it would, nonetheless, press the Centre for doing the needful in this regard, he assured.
President of Manipur Jagoi Marup Ng Amumacha presided over the inaugural function which was also attended by Retired Programme Executive of AIR, Imphal A Kholi as Guest of Honour.
Cultural troupes from Sandangsenba Maring Village and Kangchup Chiru presented cultural dance, music and folk songs on the first day of the festival.
