Tamenglong, July 25 2013: The Zonal Education Officer, Tamenglong and his staff on Thursday deeply condoled the sudden demise of Kaijeng Dikam Pamei alias KD Pamei, former District Education Officer of Tamenglong, who passed away on 18th July, 2013 .

According to the statement issued by ZEO Tamenglong, Late KD Pamei had served as Civil Supply Officer from 1960- 1961, Deputy Inspector of Schools and posted at Tamenglong, Ukhrul, Churachanpur and Chandel district from 1962 to 1979.He also served as District Education Officer Tamenglong and Kangpokpi from 1978 to 1989.He then served as Deputy Director Education (s) from 1990- 1992 and retired from government service on 30th June 1992 .

Late KD Pamei was a dynamic, dedicated officer and one of the torch bearers among the Zeliangrong community in the field of education.

We shared the grief of the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace, the statement added.
