Platinum jubilee of Saibol Baptist Church celebrated

Tpl, January 24 2020: The 75th foundation day (Platinum jubilee) of Saibol Baptist Church in Saibol village, under Tengnoupal district, was organised today.

The event was celebrated for four days from starting from January 21 under the theme, 'Liberty in Christ' .

On the third day of the celebration AMUCO attended the function with its president Nando Luwang as one of the dignitaries.

Addressing the gathering, Nando Luwang stated that culture changes with the change in time but the age old traditions and customs, which identify the people of the State, should be upheld and popularised.

Conveying that there have been instances which threatens the integrity of the State, he opined that the reason behind this could be the lack of research about the history of the State by its people.

He expressed hope that the people can protect the State from any external forces if each and every person is aware of the very history, culture and traditions of the place with everyone coordinating with one other.
