33rd Manipur University Inter-College Youth Festival kick-starts

The 33rd Manipur University Inter-College Youth Festival kick-started at the university today with the participation of 26 colleges of the State and over 700 students.
With Youth for the future of the Nation as the theme of this year's event, the festival will continue till October 25 .
The festival was declared open with the students from different colleges walking a cultural procession.

Rajmuhon, School of Life Sciences Dean Professor GA Shantibala and School of Humanities Dean Professor Ch Yashwanta attended the function as the chief guest, president and the guest of honour.

Speaking at the inaugural function, MU Administrator Jarnail Singh stated that youths in the North East region are talented and skilled in the field of Sports, Art & Culture and Education especially Mathematics.
Underlining the importance of motivating and enhancing these youths and their talents, he remarked that the Inter- College Youth festival is a platform where the youths can showcase and explore their talents.
Maintaining that students and youths play crucial roles in bringing a State or a Nation forward, he urged all the youths to strive for development of the Nation.
Winners of the festival will be representing Manipur at the East Zone Inter University at Assam Royal Global University, which will be held from November 11 to 15 and also at the All India National Inter-University Youth Festival at Amity University in 2020 .
Different activities and events will be carried out during the three days festival including music, dance, theatre, Fine Arts and literary events.
