Saikul MLA Yamthong inspects work on BDO office at Island

MLA Yamthong Haokip of Saikul A/C today paid a visit to inspect the ongoing construction on BDO Office at Island village, which is under the Saikul Assembly Constituency, and instructed all concerned to expedite the construction work.
Speaking to media persons on the sidelines of the inspection visit, MLA Yamthong Haokip stated that the BDO office which is under construction has been upgraded from the SDC office existing in the village.
The construction work on the BDO office being taken up Manipur Development Society started since January last.
He informed that construction work on the office room of BDO, security barracks, building for the branch office of the State Bank of India are almost completed.
However, the fencing, staff quarters and the construction of water supply unit are still far from completion, and so he has directed all concerned to complete the construction process at the earliest.
During the inspection, MLA Yamthonmg Haokip was accompanied by Hengjathang Khongsai, member of Sadar Hills Autonomous District Council; Thangkam Luiphen, President of Kuki Inpi, Saikul and its Secretary Paobai Haokip.
On its way back from BDO's office complex, the team also inspected the condition of the FCI godown in Saikul A/C which is in a pathetic condition.
