Ukhrul, April 23 2019: Tangkhul Naga Zingsho Longphang Eastern Villages Association (TNZL), Ukhrul strongly condemned the MSPDCL for their 'irresponsible act and purported negligence' of their duties, which caused the electrocution of a minor at Hundung Godah village.

The minor boy identified as MK Thothan died on April 20 when a live high tension power line snapped and fell onto him.

Sharing solidarity and grief of the bereaved family members, a statement of TNZL chairman NS Varemi said that MSPDCL should take up all necessary measures to avoid such incident in future.

TNZL will not remain silent but would take severe action against the department if such incident happens again, said Varemi.

Meanwhile, Varemi appreciated the MSPDCL for its prompt response to settle the issue amicably with the bereaved family in time.
