SBI staff mistreat old and illiterate customers: ALT

Chandel, February 22 2018: Anal Lenruwl Tangpi/ Anal Naga Students' Union in a statement today alleged that the staffs at the State bank of India, Chandel Branch are 'mistreating' and 'misguiding' customers, 'especially the old and illiterate customers almost every day' .

The service provided by the SBI branch is not satisfactory to the customers, the students' union said.

"The bank staffs even told the old and illiterate customers to stop using the service of SBI, Chandel branch if they are unable to understand the banking procedure," alleged the union in its statement.

The union further condemned alleged selling of KYC and SMS alert forms.

It appealed the Manager of the bank to avail the KYC and SMS alert form free of cost.

The union warned that it will take up action against the bank/manager if the bank failed to meet their demands and improve the bank-customer relationship.
