Imphal, October 21 2021:
While alleging that the education department has become a den for corruption, the proscribed People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) has informed that the outfit's special task force will come up with a special policy to stop illegal activities in the department.
According to a PREPAK statement issued by its charge d' affairs, publicity and propaganda Leibaak Naagkpa Luwang, education is the backbone of a society and it decides where the people are headed to.
It is being globally accepted that education brought new generation to the path of development and the thought of economy, administration and scientific culture are accompanied in the path of new education.
A good education policy commensurate with modern time and welfarism produced by government are some of the most important criteria in deciding global Human Development Index (HDI).
However, illegal activities of administrators of Manipur have not only spoiled education sector but also intentionally converted the department into a haven for corrupt elements and this needs to be stopped.
Accordingly, the outfit's special task force will form a special policy to stop illegal activities in the education department, the PREPAK statement made available to media houses said.
According to the PREPAK statement, the level/identity of schools and higher education of Manipur (Kangleipak) are being ruined as people's representatives who have no proper educational background and lack vision are being made to handle the department.
Policies framed by these people along with IAS bureaucrats stuck in the pit ofimperialist India's corruption have converted education department into a business, the outfit said and accused the education minister and the commissioner (education) of collecting huge amount of money from candidates who are applying for the post of graduate teachers of the department and assistant professor and non-teaching staff of Dhanamanjuri University.
While informing that outfit's special task force has come to know about collection of huge money by the minister and commissioner from candidates applying for the posts, the PREPAK statement asked both the minister and commissioner to return all the money they have collected from candidates within a month or face dire consequences.
The PREPAK statement further said that the education department is engaging staff on temporary or contract basis through corruption instead of framing a recruitment or transfer policy.
