Army extends aid in road repairing work

Bishnupur, July 21 2024: In continuation of its efforts to provide relief measures to local communities, the Indian Army extended assistance to repair the road in Phougakchao Ikhai Awang Leikai, Bishnupur district.

The road is a vital link connecting Phougakchao Awang Leikai to NH-2 and it has been damaged due to heavy rains during the past one month.

Responding promptly to the assistance sought by the villagers, the Army collaborated with the locals, providing assistance and resources for the repair work.

The joint effort ensured the restoration of safe and accessible routes for the community.

The repair work was completed in just two days, on July 18 and 19, 2024 .

The collaborative project facilitated the swift repair of the road and underscored the strong association between the Army and local population, highlighting its ongoing commitment to support and provide relief to communities amidst adverse conditions.
