Piyus Goyal commends N Biren government

Imphal, November 20 2021: Union textiles, commerce & industries and food & public distribution minister Piyush Vedprakash Goyal arrived in Imphal on a two-day visit to the state on Saturday.

During his stay in Imphal, Piyush Goyal will discuss with officials about successful implementation of schemes and programmes taken up by his ministry in the state.

On his arrival, the union minister was accorded a warm reception at BJP state office wherein president A Sharda and chief minister N Biren presented him simple gifts.

Speaking at the event, Piyush Goyal thanked the BJP-led government in the state for bringing significant changes and development during the past four and half years and stressed the need for making the people fully aware about the welfare schemes launched by the BJP government for the people so as to ensure that the party performs better in the 2022 election and retain power.

The significant changes and speedy development brought in the state during the past around five years have been possible due to double engine of BJP governments at the Centre and in the state, he said, and called upon BJP workers to work hard with dedication.

He also said that BJP will emerge victorious in the 2022 election and form the government after the election.

In his speech, chief minister N Biren said that Piyush Goyal took enormous role in formation of BJP led government in 2017 and the union minister is in the state on a two-day long visit to inspect schemes and programmes taken up in the state under his ministry.

He also said that Piyush Goyal's visit to the state will encourage BJP workers to work with dedication for the upcoming election.

The function was also attended by commerce and industries minister Th Biswajit, CAF & PD minister Th Satyabrata, tourism minister O Lukhoi and other key functionaries of state BJP.

On the other hand, Union minister Piyush Goyal, chief minister Biren and works minister Th Biswajit attended Gaurav Diwas event organised in connection with birth anniversary celebration of Bhagawan Birsa Munda at Kalyan Ashram Manipur, Palace compound.

During the event, functionaries of the Ashram and inmates interacted with the union minister.
