PFA relocates wild animals

Imphal, May 20 2018:
People for Animals (PFA) Manipur relocated a young Barking Deer which was handed over by one Md Ramijuddin of Kyamgei Konyaithabi Makha Leikai, Imphal West district.
He saved the deer from chasing dogs.
The deer could have been displaced from nearby Urup phunal Hillock.
After examination, the deer was relocated at an area of Langol Reserve Forest along with the staff of Iroisemba Forest Beat Office under the instruction of Chief Wildlife Warden.
A juvenile Leopard Cat (Keijenglang) was handed over by one Wangkhem Inao, Secretary, Salungpham Youth Club.
He found it displaced and lost near Salungpham maning Ching.
The animal is under care at PFA animal shelter.
Heiningsubam Thoicha Devi of Kakwa Sorokhaibam leikai handed over a Purple Moor hen which she found it near a drain.
The bird was relocated on the next day at Waithou lake.
And four Malayan Box turtles were also handed over to PFA Manipur by several individuals namely Waikhom Tompok of Kshetrileikai Mang Lampak, Thoubal; Konsam Ibungo, Lecturer, Lilong Higher Secondary of Arapti Mayai leikai; Phijam Sajananda of Yumnam Khunou Makha Leikai, Imphal East and Khudongbam Biramangol of Poroikhongjil Litan Makhong, Thoubal.
The turtles would be relocated soon at water bodies of Keibul Lamjao National Park with the approval of CWW, Manipur.
