Ccpur, September 19 2018:
Responding to several disturbing articles that surfaced in the media in which the NSCN-IM and some of its collaborators dared to question the rationale behind the Kukis observing SahnitNi (BlackDay), the Socialist Democratic Front of Kukiland (SDFK) has justified that Sahnit Ni (Kuki Black Day) was observed to remember and pay respect to their beloved departed souls and added that the Kukis have every right to mourn their dead and observed the tragic day which is in fact a moral duty of the Kuki people to preserve and honour its memory.
SDFK said "Let this be a reminder to them that no matter how hard they try to trivialize the heinous act, the whole World had awakened to the truth that, it was a clear cut case of a highly trained, armed organization called NSCN-IM, with evil at its head and an army poisoned to its roots, to the very depths of its psyche, fuelled by pure hatred and total disregard for human lives raising its ugly head against none other than helpless innocent Kukis, against unarmed and untrained civilians including defenceless women and children.
The barbarity and inhumane manner of which the Pogrom was executed with precision by the NSCN-IM is unthinkable" .
In a statement issued by S Kuki, Information & Publicity in-charge SDFK said "The perpetrator must be booked under the existing law and its leader awarded the ultimate sentence" .
